The equipment shown on our website and in our office brings outstanding value and more cost-effective production to your business. Mid-State Litho has long been a service oriented company. When we say our business is your success, we really stand by that. It is our aim to be a long lasting partner to our customers. It has been an adventure growing up with Mid-State Litho. The company was founded by Doug & Ellen Barrett, my mother and father, in the barn and basement of our house in downtown Flint Michigan during the Summer of 1984. In 1985 I was born and I've truly grown-up along side Mid-State Litho and printing.

MSL began rebuilding AB DIck duplicator presses. Over time as MSL's reputation and know-how grew, the operation blossomed into a true equipment dealership. 1986 was a breakout year for the company when we became the state exclusive dealer for Toko presses. The next few years harbored growth in a few directions. We began to sell bindery and finishing equipment from Standard Horizon and Pro-Cut to compliment our line of presses.

supertoko 1994 was a memorable year for me, there was a printing trade show at Cobo Hall in Detroit, MI. To draw some attention to the MSL booth my father, Doug Barrett, decided to spice up a Toko 4750 and rebrand it as the "Super Toko". The colorful press drew crowds with a dramatic show that included looping Superman music, a fog machine, and the ubiquitous bright red cape that flapped in the wind while the press ran. This is one of my favorite memories of MSL growing up, partly because I was only 9 or 10 at the time, but it captured a lot of the excitement and potential MSL had.

Today's printing, prepress, and bindery departments operate hand-in-hand and with quality equipment that is productive and reliable. Most importantly, production equipment must be backed by quality service. Our objective is to not only supplement these products with the fastest and most dependable service possible, but to bring that service to all of our customers throughout Michigan and the rest of the United States.
